The Korean web show "Narak Quiz" is drawing backlash for asking a question that disrespects SEVENTEEN.
"Narak Quiz" is a controversial web show by Psick Univ. Guests who appear on the show are asked controversial and challenging questions that could possibly cause their downfall (or "Narak," which is where the show got its name). The majority of the questions asked are about current affairs and the entertainment industry.
Though the show gained fame for its controversial content, many believe they crossed the line with their most recent episode.
'Narak Quiz' Draws Backlash for Disrespecting SEVENTEEN
On March 16, 2024, Psick Univ released the most recent episode of "Narak Quiz." For this episode, Lee Yong Joo, Kim Min Soo, and Jung Jae Hyung appeared as guests on the show.
In this episode, the guests were asked to choose between famous Korean content, notably Yoo Jae Suk's "Pinggyego" and "You Quiz on the Block," Jung Jae Hyung's "Fairry Jaehyung," and Na Young Seok's "Nattering with Nah."
However, it was the following question that sparked backlash,
The guests were asked, "Choose the person who has achieved too much compared to their skills among Son Heung Min, BTS's RM, Jay Park, and SEVENTEEN." All the figures mentioned are athletes and artists who have large, powerful fanbases and are admired worldwide.
Among the difficult choices, the eldest Lee Yong Joo asked, "Can I make a bold statement?" He then proceeded to choose SEVENTEEN. He explained his reason, saying the other choices are individuals, while SEVENTEEN was the only group. Because of that, he selected SEVENTEN as a last resort.

BIGBANG Daesung Draws Backlash Following Appearance on 'Narak Quiz'
This is not the first time "Narak Quiz" has been the center of controversy.
Recently, BIGBANG member Daesung guested on the show. During his episode, he was asked, "List 2NE1, Teddy, BLACKPINK, and Jinu Sean in order of their contributions to YG Entertainment."
Upon hearing the question, Daesung exclaimed, "I'm going crazy." He ultimately placed 2NE1 in last place, but stated BIGBANG would actually be last place if they were an option.
Daesung was also asked which member of 2NE1 was unnecessary. Before answering, he apologized and selected Gong Minzy. He appeared uncomfortable with the questions directed at him, and stated he did not know these were the types of questions he would be asked.
Later on, 2NE1's Sandara Park revealed she was upset by his answers but stated she understood that he answered for the sake of entertainment. She also stressed that BIGBANG and 2NE1 are close, like siblings.
