2NE1 Comeback? BLACKJACKs Speculate the Iconic Group Will Return

Fans are speculating that 2NE1 is gearing for a comeback, following a series of hints!

Since 2NE1 released "Goodbye" in 2017 as their "disbandment" song, the group has not released any new music. However, BLACKJACKs were given a special treat in 2022 when all four members performed "I Am The Best" at Coachella, marking their first performance as a group in six years.

Since then, they have been patiently waiting for the group to make a comeback.

Now, fans believe that time may be coming soon!

2NE1 Comeback? BLACKJACKs Notice Hints, Claim the Iconic Girl Group Will Return

Fans noticed that CL, who rarely interacts with fans, suddenly became active on social media. The idol started using her community chatroom on Instagram and has left several hints on upcoming activities.

One of her messages includes asking fans if she should change her hairstyle. Changing haircolors or hairstyles is a usual telltale sign that an idol or a whole group is gearing for a comeback.

However, it was the fact that CL mentioned she was meeting "Director Seo." This is Seo Hyung Seung, who previously worked with 2NE1 for several of their music videos. Seo Hyung Seung is a well-known 2NE1 fan and is loved in the BLACKJACK fandom.

Soon, more hints popped up that the members were preparing for a comeback.

It was noted that the members shared photos of them wearing black-framed glasses on social media and started using black hearts on their posts. People believe this is their subtle way of giving a spoiler and that fans should get ready for something big!

During an interview, Sandara Park mentioned that the four members meet regularly. She teased fans that they should expect her to come "like a gift" soon.

As 2NE1 will be celebrating their 15th anniversary on May 17, people believe the girl group may be releasing new music to celebrate.

2NE1 Activities

As mentioned previously, 2NE1's last performance as a group was at Coachella in 2022, where they performed "I Am The Best." This is the girl group's first performance as four in over six years, following their surprise appearance at the 2015 Mnet Music Awards.

The last song they released was "Goodbye" in January 2017 as their disbandment song. Only CL, Dara, and Park Bom were part of the song, as Minzy left the group in 2016.
