Soon, Korean netizens flooded the comments to criticize the male idol for his actions. Many commented that this is the second time a ZEROBASEONE member has come under fire for rude behavior towards their fans and wondered why the group is "always" trying to pick a fight with their supporters.
Many took the time to criticize male idols as a whole, not just Zhang Hao. In recent times, several male idols have garnered backlash for picking on their fans. They wondered why they would treat fans who spend money on them like that.
Some comments read,
- "No, but why are all male idols like that? Not only him, but my previous bias also used to talk like that. It's like they feel the need to pick on fans at least once. Why would they talk to their fans, who spend so much money on them, like that? They're always talking about how hard their lives are."
- "What the? ZEROBASEONE again? F*ck, does this team have anger management issues?"
- "Why are they always trying to pick fights with their fans?"
- "Imagine talking like that in a public setting... It shows what kind of values he has. The smart ones will leave the fandom."
