BLACKPINK Jennie's Label ODD ATELIER Criticized for Being 'Worse' Than YG — Here's Why

BLACKPINK Jennie's label ODD ATELIER raised brows after the frustrating schedule of the idol. They claimed that the company is even "worse" than YG Entertainment.

BLACKPINK Jennie's Label ODD ATELIER Compared to YG Entertainment

On March 31, there was a report claiming that the "SOLO" singer would return with a new album in June.

As BLINKs and Jensetters expressed happiness over the news, ODD ATELIER broke the glee immediately after the label stated that the report was false.

Having their hearts broken, Jennie's fans couldn't help but complain about her lack of schedules and activities, even after she left YG Entertainment.

Back when she was still under YG, fans were disappointed that Jennie had few solo schedules aside from her ambassadorships and brand deals.

Thus, when she established her one-man agency, fans thought that she could finally have more opportunities and expand her popularity, but people are claiming that ODD ATELIER is even "worse" than YG.

They emphasized that her new variety show, "Apartment 404," failed to capture viewers' attention due to its "boring" concept, which also led to its decreasing viewing rate despite a star-studded cast.

Her new collaboration song, "Slow Motion," with Matt Champion also didn't become a hit among music fans despite the number of her monthly listeners on Spotify.

BLACKPINK Jennie Criticized for 'Ruining' Career, Hiring Unprofessional Team

Amid all of this, netizens are putting the blame on Jennie and her team.

BLINKs pointed out how "incompetent" her team is for always missing in action and for not considering fans' opinions and views.

With the amount of artists, brands and channels that want to work with the idol, they tilted their heads as to why Jennie seemed to be picking questionable gigs, rather than expanding her global impact as a soloist.

Jennie is known for being a trendsetter and for her music, but because of the seemingly lack of enthusiasm to promote Jennie from both the team and the artist herself, the entertainment scene is barely getting anything.

Meanwhile, Jennie who is yet to release her solo album will have another collab project.

On April 4, it was reported that the global female star will make an appearance on Block B Zico's new solo song and music video.

The song will be released at the end of April to commemorate the 10th debut anniversary of the male idol.

TenAsia added that when Zico sent this collab proposal to Jennie, she readily accepted it, highlighting their close friendship.

Regarding this, Zico's own label KoZ Entertainment briefly commented:

"Zico is currently preparing for a comeback in April. Please understand that it is difficult to confirm other matters."
