ILLIT Moka Receives Explosive Reactions in China
On April 17, 2024, a post titled "This ILLIT member that's getting the best response in China right now" was uploaded to the well-known South Korean online community forum TheQoo.
There, the original poster (OP) revealed ILLIT member Moka is considered the most popular member in China as of the moment. They were able to determine this by the current ranking of Chinese fandom bulk boys. These Chinese bars rely on fan demand, so the higher the bulk buy number is, the more fans are ordering from them!
Moka's number of copies is at its highest, with 56,312 copies. Meanwhile, Yunah currently has the least, with 12,851 copies. Currently, the fandom purchasing share of Chinese fans is at 43%, with over 164,000 copies bought.
The current ranking of Chinese fandom bulk boys for "Super Real Me" is as follows:
- Moka: 56,312 copies

Why is ILLIT Moka Popular in China?
Korean netizens commented that in China, idols with more cute visuals are considered popular. Additionally, their current styling suits Chinese netizens' taste, following the rise of douyin and coquette-themed brands such as Flower Knows. Additionally, it appears Moka has the type of face Chinese people like.
Chinese beauty standards idealize oval or egg-shaped faces with narrow jaws, as well as large, doe-like eyes with a high nose bridge. Moka has all of these features, so it isn't surprising that she is so well-loved in the country!
However, others believe her fame isn't fully unrivaled, as Wonhee and Minju's sales are also rather high. Therefore, people believe these three rankings can be easily interchanged in the future.
Some comments read,
- "Cute-looking kids sure are popular there."
- "Their coordi looks so Chinese-style."
- "It seems like Moka has the type of face China likes."
- "It seems like audition programs are very popular overseas."
