Following the backlash LE SSERAFIM received for their "bad" vocals on their Coachella debut, the K-pop group returned for a "revenge" stage. But apart from praises, speculation of lipsyncing arose.
LE SSERAFIM Praised for Improved Live Vocals for Their 2nd Coachella Stage
On April 20 (local time), LE SSERAFIM made their second performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, held in Indio, California, USA. Despite being under pressure, the group showcased an improved stage with their live vocals.
Unfortunately, some music fans still weren't impressed, especially with the claims that the group lipsynced.
LE SSERAFIM made their Coachella debut on April 14, and became the fastest K-pop girl group to be invited to the prestigious music festival.
Unfortunately, they became the center of mockery when they delivered "unstable" and "disappointing" live singing, essential abilities that K-pop idols should have.
On the 2nd week of the event, the girl group was given another opportunity to have their "revenge" stage. They performed their hits, "FEARLESS," "ANTIFRAGILE," "UNFORGIVEN," "Perfect Night," "EASY," "Smart," and more.

This time, LE SSERAFIM filled the stage with their more relaxed facial expression and gestures, yet maintaining their bright stage presence and confident charms.
Regarding their live vocals, they became more stable, with fans lauding them for reaching high notes and killing parts without much difficulty.
LE SSERAFIM Accused of Lipsyncing
While fans initially thought that it would finally wash away the group's regrets, another controversy arose when K-pop fans, who watched the live stream, noticed the parts where the members' voices could still be heard even when they weren't singing using their microphones.
In another instance, their voices can't be heard even if they were singing through their mics, sparking claims that they used louder AR, a method of playing sound sources recorded in advance as a live version.
While lipsyncing is a common method used by K-pop idols, especially in big events, the Coachella is a stage where live vocals are paid attention to; thus, fans were once again disappointed at the group.
Nevertheless, this, time, more fans agreed that LE SSERAFIM significantly improved on their second performance and are looking forward to their future stages.
Fans are especially closely looking at their succeeding performances, such as their fan meeting, "FEARNADA 2024 S/S," which will be held at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul on May 11th and 12th. After this, they plan to move to Japan in June and continue the fan meeting.
