Kep1er Yujin Opens Up About the Group's Upcoming Disbandment

On April 29, 2024, Kep1ers's leader and oldest member, Choi Yujin, talked about the group's upcoming disbandment on Bubble.

In her message to fans, she states that she has no regrets. It seems that, despite the short period she had as a member of Kep1er, she is happy and content with the work she has done as a member of the group.

She then took the time to give thanks to the fans, also known as Kep1ians. She said that thanks to Kep1ians, she was able to meet the fans and the other Kep1er members. Fans who saw the message were understandably emotional. Many were sad to see Kep1er, a group with so much chemistry and hard-working members, disband. Others voiced their frustrations at Kep1er's company, WAKEONE, for not providing enough content and opportunities for the Kep1er members during their time together.

Meanwhile, others voiced their hopes of a final Korean release before their disbandment. Kep1er's last Korean release was in April. The girl group released their fourth mini-album, "Lovestruck!" and the lead single, "Giddy."

What Will Happen to Yujin After Kep1er's Disbandment?

Additionally, many voiced their concern for Yujin after Kep1er's disbandment.

Before joining Kep1er, Yujin was a member of CUBE Entertainment's girl group, CLC. While competing on "Girls Planet 999," it was announced that the remaining members of CLC—except for Eunbin and Yujin—had left the company. While they have not disbanded, activities for the group in the near future seem unlikely.

With that, many are unsure if she will be able to debut in a new girl group or if she will pursue a career as an actress or soloist. As of now, it is unsure what route she will choose.
