SuJu Ryeowook's Fianceé Apologizes To Fans Ahead of Their Wedding: 'To Those Who Have Been Hurt...'

Former Tahiti member Ari personally apologized to fans following her marriage announcement with Super Junior Ryeowook. But why don't people want them to tie the knot?

In March, Super Junior Ryeowook broke the news that he's marrying the love of his life, Ari, who has been with him since 2020. At the time, the idol penned a letter to ELFs.

"As you all know, I have a friend that I am dating. During the time we have been together, the desire to form a family with her naturally developed.

It was not a sudden decision, but I had thought about it and discussed it with the members as well as the company for a long time. In the end, we decided to get married at the end of May, this spring.”

Ryeowook also expressed gratitude to ELFs (Super Junior fandom) who gave the couple their sincere blessing. He also attested to fans that he would continue to work as a soloist and as a member of Super Junior even after getting married.

Ari Apologizes to Fans Through Marriage Announcement

Following him, Ari, earlier this May, also took to her personal account to break the news to their fans. She apologized to those who have been hurt by the announcement.

In particular, while the majority of ELFs and Black Pearls (Tahiti fandom) were delighted by the news, some Korean fans were against Ryeowook and Ari's relationship after the latter was allegedly involved in the infamous cult, Shincheonji.

She was also embroiled in a controversy involving a theater actor, which she refuted later, but these are reasons she has a negative image to the male idol's supporters.

On top of this, some ELFs also felt betrayed after Ryeowook decided to settle down with Ari without "letting them warm up with her."

As a result, Ari sincerely apologized to them.

"It's been a long time since I said hello. I also have some warm news to share at the end of May this spring. I am now planning to become a family with the person I have been with for a long time.

We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has supported, understood, and encouraged us so far, and on the other hand, we are sorry to those who have been hurt by our decision.

So from now on, I will act with even more responsibility, protect my family with caution so that you do not have any concerns, and live well while being considerate of you."

Meanwhile, Ryeowook acknowledged his romantic relationship with Ari in September 2020. They got to know each other as seniors and juniors, but eventually developed romantic feelings for each other.

After four years of dating, they decided to be together for a lifetime. With his, he will be the second Super Junior member to tie the knot after Sungmin.
