Stray Kids truly didn't disappoint in serving visuals at the 2024 Met Gala - even in unedited journalist snaps!
On May 6, Stray Kids graced the red carpet of the 2024 Met Gala as the first-ever K-pop artists to be invited as a whole group.
The 2024 Met Gala was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, USA, and the world's largest fashion charity fundraising event since 1948 introduced a star-studded lineup of guests including BLACKPINK Jennie, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Kendall Jenner, Zendaya, and more.
This year, the clothing theme was Garden of Time, leading various celebrities to flaunt their inner fairies, goddesses and royalties atmosphere.
To match the dress code, the eight Stray Kids members - Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N - wore prince-like 'fits tailored by Tommy Hilfiger brand's signature colors of the red, white, and blue color palette.
While the group was praised for their elegant and relaxed look overall, they also raised brows for their "boring" and "out of motif" suits.
However, their first appearance at the Met Gala wasn't completely failure. Thanks to their outstanding visuals, Stray Kids still stood out!
After the event, their unedited photos posted in real time went viral in various online communities, and their fans began lauding their beautiful skin and head-turning visuals.
The octet received applause when they survived Getty Images, a media company known for its unedited and unflattering shots.
Despite the close shots of Stray Kids in HD, K-netz were impressed with the texture of their skin, considerably flawless compared to other celebrities exposed by the media.
All eight members sent fans into a frenzy with their natural-looking beauty, while some are known for their breakouts due to the continuous application of makeup.
Here are some of the comments:
- "I'm jealous of everyone's nice skin."
- "Wow, Lee Know and Felix are really handsome."
- "I.N looks really attractive."
- "Even if I zoomed it, their skin still looks good."
- "At this point, it's not even at the level of 'surviving Getty Images,' it is a whole damn pictorial."
- "As expected, Hyunjin."
- "Bang Chan keeps catching my eye today."
- "It's my personal opinion, but this is more natural and better."
- "Now I understand why fans are celebrating that they survived Getty Images. This is really unedited."
- "They wear stage makeup all the time, but their skin is really good."
- "This is my first time hearing about this Lee Know. He looks so handsome. Is he the visuals? Who is Hyunjin here?"
- "Since they didn't edit their skin, it felt like I was watching movie stars. I guess it's because I watched a lot of Hollywood films that I'm already used to it. I like it as well."
