After a week after HyunA released her 9th mini-album, "Attitude," K-pop fans are calling her a "flop" and "nugu" after seeing her first-week album sales.
On May 2, the so-called, "Sexy Queen of K-pop" HyunA returned after two years with her new EP, "Attitude," her first album unveiled in collaboration with the top music producer duo, GroovyRoom.
In this release, the female soloist participated in the overall production process including writing lyrics, composing as well as music video planning.
In particular, the album depicts her honest and confident attitude as she starts anew under AT AREA, her new nest after leaving P NATION.
The album comprised four songs, including the title track, "Q&A," which shows off her more luxurious sexy charm and trendy style.
The MV was even filmed in Bangkok, Thailand to capture her new, unconventional and sensuous visuals.
Best musicians also worked with her to complete the album, including GroovyRoom, LDN Noise, BOYCOLD, Giriboy, GEMINI, Changmo and many more who participated in creating the b-sides, "Attitude," "Ah!" and "RVSP."
On May 8 then, about a week after she released her album, HyunA became the center of mockery after seeing her album sales.

Based on the Hanteo Chart, her first day sales were 10, 405, a seemingly good start for a soloist. However, for the succeeding days, it got lower and lower to the point that she even got 5 sales only on its third day.
Overall, her first-week sales as of May 9th were announced to be 13,577.
But shockingly, this is by far her best-selling album in her soloist career on its 1st week!
But why is she being mocked for this?
On X, netizens were surprised that she had lower album sales in the past, calling her a "flop" and "nugu."
While album sales back then weren't as important as charts, which she has an advantage of, web commenters pointed out that given her popularity, she should have been getting more album sales than what she has right now.
Seeing that she isn't performing as well as she should have, people are claiming that she deserves not to be supported after deciding to betray K-pop fans by dating Yong Junhyung, a sex predator.
Ahead of her comeback, she annoyed fans with her interview where she talked about her relationship with the idol, although the general public has been expressing that they are against the couple.
As a short context, her boyfriend was once involved in watching illicit videos from Jung Joon Young, where the girls were victims of sexual assault and r*pe.
Despite the public disgust, HyunA continued to flaunt their relationship and even justified her decision as her way of choosing to be happy.
It seems like her Korean fans also turned their backs on her, as about 11k of her album sales were purchased by her China bar.
