HyunA Continues to Get 'Canceled' on SNS for Dating Her Beau
HyunA star started losing her fans on the social platform when she confirmed her relationship with former HIGHLIGHT Yong Junhyung.
While HyunA still has a considerable large number of followers, the crucial and saddest part of this was that most of those who unfollowed her were her long-time fans who had been with her since her debut in 2007.
Aside from losing a massive number of followers, most of her largest fansites on X also shut down and left the fandom without looking back.
Not only fans but even celebrities were said to unfollow the K-pop idol, including 2AM Jo Kwon and EXID Hani.

While HyunA remains silent and continues posting on her SNS, netizens also goes on mocking her following her dating news, leaving hateful comments and criticism in every photo she uploads.
Is It a Crime to Fall In Love? Here's Why HyunA Is Being Hated for Dating Yong Junhyung
HyunA's current boyfriend is Yong Junhyung, who initially rose to fame as HIGHLIGHT and a well-known idol songwriter and producer.
The frustration of fans didn't stem from him being a K-pop idol, but because of his involvement in the high-profile controversy, the Burning Sun Scandal.
While he denied committing sexual assault and filming illicit videos of victims, he admitted that he did watch these illegal videos shared in a group chat by Jung Joonyoung, the key member who was jailed for r**e and recording s** videos without the victims' consent.
To people's anger, Yong Junhyung didn't serve his jail time and only left his group as a punishment. Despite this, he didn't fully retire from the K-pop scene and returned as a soloist in 2022.
As HyunA is known to be actively promoting women empowerment, fans began calling her "shameless" and "dumb" for dating a guy who committed a crime against women.
If these reasons aren't enough, people also dubbed HyunA a "traitor" for betraying her late friend, Goo Hara. Back in 2011, the late idol dated Yong Junhyung and broke up in 2013. Simply put, HyunA broke the "girl code."
In addition to this, before she passed away, she was threatened by her ex-boyfriend Choi Jongbum that he would release illicit videos wherein she was assaulted.
Sadly, some blamed her for it, which was assumed to be one of the reasons she also took her life.
In relation to this, HyunA was criticized for not sympathizing with the victims when her actual friend suffered from it as well and was still "unbothered" for dating Yong.
