In a show, Rei revealed what each member meant to her and here, she confessed that she found THIS fellow IVE the prettiest among the group.
On May 10, Episode 7 of the web show, "XYOB" was uploaded on the official YouTube channel of "JohnMaat" hosted by iconic K-pop idols Joon Park and Brian.
On this day, IVE Rei, a Japanese K-pop idol appeared as the sole guest, where she talked about her groupmates and career as one of the hottest K-pop acts these days.
Just then, Brian asked Rei:
"Can you tell us what each IVE member means to you?"
Rei then pointed to the lifesize standees of the members behind her and said:
"I'll start with Leeseo. To me, Leeseo is like a daughter. I've seen her grow up so I feel like a parent. She's going through puberty. 'You can't do that.' I tell her that often."
As for Jang Wonyoung, Rei describes her as her "idol." Although they are on the same team, the star thinks that she's really cool on the stage, admiring her as her idol.
When Yujin's turn came, Rei revealed that her first impression of her was that she was a "scary" leader. However, after getting to know each other, she realized that it wasn't like that. She is rather talkative and she also had concerns of her own and she's only thinking about what was best for all of them.
As the talk continued, Joon Park asked Rei:
"Who do you think is the prettiest among those five, Rei?"
Without much hesitation, she chose Liz and explained:
"She's from Jeju Island. Back when I was in middle school, I had to go to Japan often for school (amid training in Korea). One day, when I came back, Liz was just there. She's a new member. I fell in love at first sight.
She was so pretty when she was a trainee. I was like, how does someone like that exist?"
Hearing this, Joon Park praised Rei, saying:
"It was weird that Rei is really pretty, but she doesn't realize it."
So when Brian asked her if she thinks she's pretty, Rei humbly responded:
"When I wear makeup, I'm like, 'I got it today. About that much."
In the same broadcast, Rei, the only foreign member of IVE then revealed what is its advantage and the star replied:
"When there's an unpleasant situation, I just pretend I don't understand."
However, there are also days when she feels lonely to become the only non-Korean among members. In some instances, when people act without realizing that she's Japanese.
