Following aespa's "Supernova" debut stage on "M Countdown," K-Netz expressed their disappointment after seeing Giselle's body.

On May 16, the quartet who just made their comeback with its double title track, "Supernova" had their first-ever stage on Mnet's "M Countdown."

Although the pre-recording didn't end well after a fire broke out midway, it is evident that aespa still put out all of its energy to showcase its outstanding performance skills, along with the loud and synchronous fan chants of MYs.

In various online communities, their stage then became a hot topic among K-Netz and K-pop fans, not only for their vocals & dance skills but due to their visual line as well.

Indeed, the four members stunned MYs with their respective charms, NingNing standing out most for her style & beauty that seemed to suit their concept well. The same goes with Winter and Karina who were lauded for their appearance that resembles AI.

A fan commented:

"Today, aespa's 'hemeko' (hair, makeup and coordination) looks great together. They also performed really well on stage. Looking at the ending, I can only say congratulations to all of aespa as they are a group of super pretty girls."

Unfortunately, Giselle didn't receive the same amount of compliments as some Koreans started fat-shaming her.

In the comments, K-Netz started to attack her with malicious comments such as:

• "Giselle's 'yoyo' effect is so bad. Did she gain weight again? But NingNing seems to be in crazy form these days."
• "It's their comeback, but Giselle is not taking care of herself? She lost weight and gained it again. It seems like NingNing is aespa's visuals now."
• "Just by looking at her, I really don't know what's pretty with Giselle. But ever since aespa debuted, NingNing doesn't look that good because of her styling, but I always thought that she's pretty."

• "If it weren't for Giselle, aespa would have been in the top-tier average visuals among fourth-gen female idols."
• "All other members are AI characters, but why is Giselle's drawing style different?"
• "Giselle should have lost weight, not get a double eyelid."
• "They're not a super beauties group because of Giselle. They should kick out Giselle."
• "Giselle may have a hard time, but I hope she can keep it maintained once she loses weight. It's just good that she doesn't get sick when she loses her weight."
• "Giselle is so ugly."

Meanwhile, after dropping "Supernova," aespa also released the MV for its b-side song, "Licorice" on the 16th. It is a dance song with a strong beat that expresses the feeling of being attracted to someone with a strange charm.

The sound source will be officially dropped on May 27th along with aespa's first full-length album, "Armageddon." The album will have a total of 10 songs including a same-name double title track.
