Wonhee, a member of the rookie girl group ILLIT, has revealed how she was street cast.

According to an announcement from JTBC on May 24, 2024, ILLIT, who received much love for their debut song "Magnetic" released this March, will appear as guests on the May 25 episode of "Knowing Bros." The girl group will be enjoying a spring outing with the cast members around Hwaseong City to celebrate the 14th Hwaseong Boat Festival in advance. The event will be held from May 31 to June 2.

During a recent recording, Wonhee responded to Lee Jin Ho's question about how she debuted by revealing. The idol revealed how she was cost, and even confessed that she thought she was being scammed.

he stated, "I was street-cast at the Express Bus Terminal when I was in my first year of high school. At first, I suspected it was a scam."

Fans who kept up with the survival show "R U Next?" are aware that Wonhee has the shortest training time among the ILLIT members. The show started airing on June 30, 2023, and at the time, the idol had trained for less than two months before the show started.

Hearing the unique way she was cast makes fans even more curious about what happened.

As newcomers just two months into their debut, ILLIT also received advice on how to maintain a long-lasting group from Super Junior members Kim Heechul and Shindong.

When asked about their ultimate goal, ILLIT stated, "In the distant future, we hope to think 'It was great being ILLIT,' and we also hope our fans will think 'It was great being fans of ILLIT.'"

ILLIT made its debut on March 25, 2024, with the mini-album, "Super Real Me," and its lead single, "Magnetic." During its first well of release, the aforementioned mini-album sold 380,000 copies.

By the end of April, "Super Real Me" sold over 500,000 copies. The album debuted at number 93 on the Billboard 200 chart, number 41 on the Billboard Artists 100 chart, and number two on the Emerging Artist Chart.
