On platform X (Twitter), fans reacted to the announcement:

Earlier on May 16, Korean news outlets reported that seven Kepler members had agreed to a contract extension. However, Mashiro and Yeseo were also reported to have signed exclusive contracts with 143 Entertainment to join LIMELIGHT.

This promptly reached 143 Entertainment, which responded, "We are still carefully reviewing the contracts and no decision has been made."
