The idol has announced the start of his mandatory service.
On June 3, Bobby uploaded on his official X (Twitter) account, which showed a photo of him with a new buzz cut. The photo was also accompanied by a caption stating that the idol would be giving free ice cream to iKONICs and that he'd return safely after completing his duty.
"Donggyo Town Branch, 15 Donggyo-ro 25-gil, Mapo-gu. From 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., I will be sharing 200 ice creams limited for iKONICs! I'll be right back!"

Earlier on April 6, iKON's agency 143 Entertainment officially announced that members Bobby and Chanwoo will be enlisting. According to the agency's statement, Bobby will be enlisting on May 21. However, the idol's enlistment was eventually rescheduled to June 4.
Meanwhile, the agency revealed that Chanwoo's enlistment date would be on May 27.
"We are here to let everyone know that Bobby would begin his training in the military on May 21," 143 Entertainment shared. "There are no separate events to be held on their admission day."
The agency added, "We would also like to ask your kind understanding that the entrance would only be held privately to prevent accidents and overcrowding on-site."
