NCT Taeyong Emotional Tribute to Korean War Veteran Grandfather Goes Viral

In a heartfelt tribute to Korea's fallen heroes, NCT's Taeyong, the grandson of a Korean War veteran, recently visited the National Cemetery, leaving a lasting impact with his solemn prayers and emotional narration.

The Republic of Korea Navy unveiled a poignant video titled "I will not forget and always remember" on Memorial Day, featuring Taeyong as the narrator.

Serving as a public relations officer in the Naval Headquarters Military Music Decoration Battalion, Taeyong's visit to the National Cemetery was described as 'heartbreaking' by many.

In recent news, NCT's Taeyong is set to fulfill his mandatory military duties by enlisting as an active-duty soldier on April 15, 2024, as confirmed by SM Entertainment on March 18, 2024.

Due to South Korean law prohibiting travel six months before military service, Taeyong had expressed concerns earlier about NCT's touring schedule. To ensure safety, his enlistment will be private without any official events.

Despite this milestone, fans can still enjoy his recent accomplishments, such as his second mini-album "TAP," which received acclaim for its unique style.

Taeyong's enlistment marks the first among NCT members, setting a precedent for the group. Despite being 28 years old, he's not the oldest member; Taeil holds that title at 29. Taeyong's solo career has also flourished, with "TAP" reaching the top spot on iTunes charts in 33 regions.
