Out With 'Hot' Sexy and In With 'Cute' Sexy?

Last week was a full-blown parade of hot and sexy performances led by Sistar and After School. There was a lot of touching, and as we know, even poles on stage. But with several girl groups slated to make their comebacks this week, the trend of 'sexy' may turn from 'hot' to 'cute' within the realm of sexiness.

Dal Shabet is up next, releasing "Be Ambitious" on June 20. Following them is Girl's Day who also decided to go after 'sexy' as Dal Shabet did. Their title song is "Female President."

On the contrary to Sistar and After School. Dal Shabet and Girl's Day are set on playing near the gray area between sexy and cute. It is a smart, calculated move on their part as they have always played the cute card and a sudden switch to risqué performances and skin-tight outfits may do more harm than good.

Dal Shabet's title song "Be Ambitious," which is actually titled "Look At My Legs' in Korean, features scandalous lines such as "Look at my legs, not my eyes," but the overall melody of the song and the outfits are expected to be more or less what Dal Shabet has pushed for over the years.

Girl's Day, even with their shocking album showcase event at a swimming pool, seeks not to go overboard with their new sexy look as they also seem to be mindful of the importance of a gradual transition.
