MAMAMOO Solar Goes Viral Following Cover of P-pop Group BINI's Hit Song 'Pantropiko'

MooMoos were impressed by Solar's excellent cover of BINI's "Pantropiko." From the vibe and pronunciation, the idol truly nailed the song!

On June 16, the K-pop idol graced the Solaire Resort's The Theatre in Manila for her 2nd concert, "COLOURS."

On this day, the star spent time with her Filipino MooMoos (fandom) by performing her group and solo tracks, and even prepared a surprise stage for her supporters!

In particular, she sent the whole crowd into a frenzy when the sound system started playing "Pantropiko," the global viral song of P-pop girl group BINI, which is considered the current "Nation's Girl Group" in the Philippines.

The concertgoers then sang along with the K-pop star and shockingly, Solar made fans' jaws drop with how perfect her vocals are, not to mention her good pronunciation of Filipino (the official language of the Philippines)!

As a result, fans are left wanting more, that's why the idol grants their request to perform it for the second time around!

Indeed, Solar didn't disappoint and made the crowd's cheer even louder as she grabbed a pride flag, celebrating the month dedicated to sexual minorities or LGBTQ+!

She's not only "mother," but she's also a QUEEN!

Meanwhile, this is not only a win for MooMoos, but for the P-pop girl group BINI as well, as it is not a secret that the members were also huge supporters of MAMAMOO.

In fact, in the past, they chose to perform the K-pop group's "HIP" for the event Happy Hallyu Day but two years later, they found their favorite group covering their own song this time!

We really can't wait for more MAMAMOO x BINI crumbs and hopefully, interaction soon!

On the other hand, amid MAMAMOO's hiatus, Solar is actively promoting as a soloist, dropping her second mini-album, "COLORS" in April.

To promote the album, she then embarked on her 1st solo concert, "COLOURS" for the first time in about 6 years since "BLOSSOM" in 2018.

The concert aims to showcase Solar's colorful music with a rich set list including her new songs as well as to deliver her message of support, hoping everyone will find their own color through her colorful stage.

The tour started in Seoul last June 1 and 2, followed by Manila (June 16). She will continue her tour in Kaohsiung, Taiwan (June 22), Japan (June 28-29).

On July 7, she will meet MooMoos in Hong Kong, followed by her stage in Taipei, Taiwan (July 14), Singapore (July 27), with the last stop being in Macau on October 6.
