Veteran musician Yoon Sang, RIIZE Anton's father, revealed that his younger brother is also considering becoming an idol. Will he also sign under SM?
On June 19, top-tier celebrities and artists, known for their iconic glasses/specs, will appear on the latest episode of MBC's "Radio Star."
Ahead of the program, a preview clip was released featuring Yoon Sang, one of the most legendary musicians of the 1990s.
During his heyday, he was loved as the OG handsome balladeer, and when his son RIIZE Anton debuted as a fifth-gen K-pop idol, he drew even more popularity as fans fussed over their crazy resemblance.
During the preview, he then mentioned his son and revealed that the reason Anton developed the desire to become an idol was thanks to lyricist Kim Eana, drawing curiosity about the reason.
He also confessed that when the idol told him about his dream of joining the music scene, he initially opposed it, but later accepted it, justifying that being a musician runs in their blood.
In the upcoming episode, Yoon Sang will also tell the story of how Anton ended up signing with SM Entertainment.
The aforementioned topics already piqued viewers' interest, but their ears perked even more when the veteran artist hinted that his youngest son is also showing signs of following his eldest brother's footsteps.
He revealed:
"Actually, until the beginning of the year, I was in the position of telling, 'If you do this, you will be in big trouble.'''
Despite this warning, Yoon Sang added:
"But it seems like my second child is secretly envious of his older brother."
In particular, aside from Anton, Yoon Sang has a second son named Lee Junyoung. Born in 2009, he is currently either 14 or 15 years old this year.
Just like Anton, Junyoung was also raised abroad and lives with his mother in the U.S.
While he is a non-celebrity, K-pop fans were able to gather his childhood and SNS photos, and they were amazed by his uncanny similarities with his father and brother.
Although he's yet to become an adult, he was lauded for his tall height and handsome looks that are suitable to become a K-pop idol.
Following the preview, there is now a high interest if he will be scouted by SM Entertainment as well, creating the male version of the most iconic "Jung sisters" who also flew from the U.S. to pursue their dreams of becoming idols under the same label.
Here are some of the comments from K-pop fans:
- "Junyoung, the noonas are waiting for you."
- "Oh Junyoung, should I wait for you?"
- "Even the second brother is so tall and handsome."
- "Junyoung, do you want to come to SM?"
- "Junyoung also looks similar to Anton. Not only in terms of face but also in physical appearance. They are definitely brothers."
- "SM may already have finished their preparations as we speak."
- "I think he's already training under SM."
- "There is a rumor that he also quit school because he had to come to Korea. He's probably in Korea right now."
- 'If the baby wants to do it, I hope he does it. If another face like Anton debuts, honestly, from my point of view, I would be grateful."
