Recently, (G)I-DLE's latest release, "Super Lady," has sparked mixed reactions and accusations of plagiarism. Released on January 29, the song and its music video drew comparisons to several top artists, including T-ARA, 2NE1, BLACKPINK, Taylor Swift, and Red Velvet.
The group invested a record 1.1 billion won for this comeback, emphasizing themes of pride and women's rights. Despite its strong and vibrant arrangement, the song has faced criticism for resembling other artists' works in both music and visual elements.
Notable similarities include the final verse akin to T-ARA's "Sugar Free," and the music video's sets and scenes reminiscent of BLACKPINK and Taylor Swift. These comparisons have raised concerns about originality and the impact on (G)I-DLE's reputation.
