BLACKPINK Jisoo Image Spotted in True Crime Documentary

BLINKs were shocked to discover that a photo of BLACKPINK member Jisoo was used in a true crime documentary posted to YouTube.

On June 26, the YouTube channel “DETECTIVE BROOKS STORIES” released a video titled “The Cops Had A Nervous Breakdown From What They Saw!! Case of Heather Rich | True Crime Documentary." Interestingly, the video, which has no connection to BLACKPINK, soon caught the attention of the group's fans.

They noticed that an image of Jisoo was used in the video for the criminal record of a fictional suspect named “Octavia”. The profile oddly listed the pronouns as both “He/him” and “She/her." Additionally, the file described Octavia as a bisexual individual from the Philippines.

The unexpected appearance of Jisoo in the video has sparked some jokes among fans, who don't see the use of her image as a big deal. Some shared screenshots of the documentary to social media with captions like, “So I’m actually in love with a criminal” and “She’s always at the crime scene” popping up as playful reactions.

However, some fans expressed concerns about the improper use of Jisoo’s image, criticizing the YouTube channel for potentially leveraging her likeness to boost their visibility. This is particularly noted as the video with Jisoo’s image has garnered significantly more attention than other content on the channel.

Jisoo's agency, Blissoo, has not addressed the situation.

In other news, Jisoo is slated to make her acting comeback with the drama "Influenza," where she will star alongside Park Jeong Min. Rumors have circulated that the drama will begin airing in August 2024, but this has yet to be confirmed.
