BLACKPINK Jennie Dating SEVENTEEN Mingyu? Rumor Arises Due to THESE Reasons

K-pop fans were abuzz with speculation after rumors surfaced about a possible relationship between BLACKPINK's Jennie and SEVENTEEN's Mingyu.

On Facebook and Twitter, global K-pop stans raised the speculation that the two stars were in a relationship when netizens brought up their subtle "lovestagram" wearing couple items.

Fans noticed that Jennie and Mingyu were recently seen wearing the same black sweaters and phone cases.

In addition, netizens claim that Mingyu's younger sister and Jennie most likely met in Japan due to their recent photos. The one the male idol's sister posted in a restaurant matched Jennie's recent Instagram post, leading to further speculations.

Lastly, despite her busy schedule, Jennie also attended SEVENTEEN's "Follow Again" Tour in Seoul, sparking curiosity about their real relationship. On Facebook and X, a lot of fans showed interest if this is true, but BLINKs and Jensetters (Jennie's fans),, as well as CARATs (Mingyu's fans), defended both idols and called out OPs for starting the "absurd" rumor.

K-pop stans think it is ridiculous since a black sweater is an ordinary fit, while the phone case is not even customized but something that anyone could buy as well.

They then concluded that the dating rumor was "groundless."

Meanwhile, supporters of Jennie pleaded with web users to leave the female idol alone, who has been continuously embroiled in dating controversies with K-pop idols.

Before Mingyu, there was EXO Kai, BTS V, and BIGBANG G-Dragon, who were all said to be her ex-boyfriends. Among them, only her relationship with Kai was confirmed.

Just like the SEVENTEEN member, Jennie was also said to be dating them after being spotted together in one place and for using the same items and wearing similar clothes. As of the writing, ODD ATELIER, Jennie's label, is yet to address this speculation.

Meanwhile, aside from controversies involving her relationship, Jennie was recently criticized for her personality as well. Her staff bullying issue sparked when a clip of her e-smoking in front of her makeup artist was accidentally shared on her YouTube vlog.

When the issue spread, OA Entertainment issued an apology. It attested that they also bowed their heads to the staff, yet Jennie was once again mocked for not addressing the problem personally and only leaving it to her own label.

The issue intensified when a netizen impersonating a staff member surfaced, and they attempted to defend Jennie by saying that Jennie didn't smoke in a non-smoking venue.

However, locals set the record straight by stating that since 2014, Italy revised its Tobacco Business Act to include e-cigarettes as cigarettes by adding "manufactured in a form suitable for inhalation by vapor."

In addition, an indoor smoking ban law was implemented in 2005 that prohibits smoking indoors in all public places.
