Fans are amused that BLACKPINK member Rosé's jewelry during BLACKPINK's world tour is even more expensive than YG Entertainment's revenue for the second quarter of this year.
Recently, YG Entertainment released its financial report for the second quarter of 2024. The entertainment giant reported profits of only 300 million KRW (approximately $217,508.35) from April to June of this year. Following the end of BLACKPINK members' exclusive individual contracts, YG Entertainment appears to have lost its their money-makers.

Despite ongoing activities with other artists like BABYMONSTER, TREASURE, and AKMU, the company's profits pale in comparison to those generated by the girl group BLACKPINK.
BLACKPINK's world tour "Born Pink" set a sales record, reaching $331 million and becoming the highest-grossing girl group tour in history. This explains the significant drop in YG Entertainment's profits during the group's temporary hiatus. The continuous decline in performance has sparked concerns about the entertainment empire's potential bankruptcy without BLACKPINK activities.
Ironically, YG's second-quarter profit was not even a fraction of the value of the jewelry worn by Rosé during the "Born Pink" tour. Fans conducted some research and noted the series of jewelry pieces that Tiffany & Co. sponsored for Rosé to wear throughout the tour.
While her pieces weren't too diverse, the diamond-filled necklaces, bracelets, and rings Rosé wore had a total value of up to $900,000 (approximately 1,241,331,626 KRW). This means the jewelry Rosé wore on stage was worth four times more than YG Entertainment's revenue for the quarter.
