To measure the popularity of K-pop idols, the Korean Business Research Institute released its newest brand reputation rankings for various artists. According to sources, the organization managed to collect data from June 25 to July 25.
Many idols have trended due to their virality, music releases, activities, social media updates, and engagement with their fans. The results were determined by analyzing popularity-related factors such as the participation of consumers, coverage from the media, and overall exposure.
Here are the Top 10 K-pop idols reigning the July 2024 brand rankings!
1. BTS Jin
Jin of BTS ranked No. 1 for July after receiving a brand reputation index of 5,606,311. The BTS member has gained attention lately due to his activities after returning from the military.
2. Girls' Generation Taeyeon
Taeyeon's presence on social media also made buzz, as the singer also released her new song "Heaven" this July. According to sources, Taeyeon managed to secure No. 2 with a brand reputation index of 3,532,006.
3. Apink Eunji
Eunji followed on No. 3 after receiving a brand reputation index of 3,398,443.
4. ASTRO Cha Eun Woo
With a brand reputation index of 2,870,148, Cha Eun Woo successfully claimed No. 4.
5. IVE Jang Wonyoung
The top five was rounded by Jang Wonyoung, who received a brand reputation index of 2,748,651. The idol, who is known to be one of the busiest idols in the K-pop industry, has been trending due to her social media updates, activities with IVE, and the group's ongoing world tour.
6. aespa Karina
Karina made it to the No. 6 spot after receiving a brand reputation index of 2,624.757.
7. IVE An Yujin
IVE's leader An Yujin received a brand reputation index of 2,266,063 for the month of July, earning her seventh place.
8. cignature Jeewon
Jeewon made it on No. 8 after receiving a brand reputation index of 2,170,555.
9. BTS Jimin
Jimin claimed No. 9 after gathering a brand reputation index of 1,975,542. The idol also released his second solo album "MUSE" and title track "Who" earlier on July 19. Apart from his content, Jimin has also been promoting his comeback, and has gained numerous achievements on the music charts.
10. Red Velvet Joy
Joy completed the top 10 with a brand reputation index of 1,884,322. The idol has also been trending due to her social media presence and schedules with Red Velvet.
