tripleS is known as one of the biggest (both in terms of popularity and in size) girl groups of the fifth generation. With 24 members, they have broken a new record by having an international line-up with talented girls. Recently, Korean netizens have been digging into the lives of the members and discovered something interesting; not only are they talented, but five members come from extremely impressive educational backgrounds!

1. Kim Yooyeon

Known as the "goddess of Ewha," Kim Yooyeon is currently enrolled in Ewha Womans University. She majors in Science Education.

During her appearance on "The Manager," Kim Yooyeon revealed that her parents were against her dreams of becoming an idol. To be able to chase her dreams of becoming an idol while also appeasing her parents, Kim Yooyeon applied for university and is managing both her schooling with her idol activities.

2. JiYeon

For both middle school and high school, JiYeon studied at the Seonhwa Arts School, which is considered to be one of the most prominent arts schools in South Korea. The school is known for its high academic standards, and how they require both high entrance exam scores and interviews to get accepted.

For college, JiYeon attended Hanyang University College of Arts and Physical Education. Throughout her schooling, she majored in Dance and Ballet.

3. Lee Jiwoo

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Lee Jiwoo started attending Dongguk University, and is under the department of performance. It is considered one of the biggest universities in South Korea and was ranked number eight on JoongAngIlbo's Korean university rankings in 2022.

Other notable alumni from this university include Lee Seung Gi, T-ARA's Eunjung, and Girls' Generation's Yoona.

4. Xinyu

While competing on Mnet's "Girls Planet 999," it was revealed that Xinyu was a student at Berklee College of Music, where she majors in Contemporary Theater. Currently, she is on a leave of absence to promote as an idol in South Korea.

Berklee College of Music is among the most esteemed arts colleges in the United States. It is consistently ranked in the top ten American conservatories and has produced several notable alums. Some examples are Charlie Puth, Steven Tyler, and John Mayer.

5. Mayu

Mayu is currently a student at Meiji University and is majoring in economics. However, she is currently on a leave of absence due to her activities with tripleS in South Korea.
