Na Haeun, who gained fame for being a dance prodigy as a child, has reportedly left SM Entertainment.
According to an exclusive Xports News report on July 1, Na Haeun, who was a trainee at SM Entertainment (hereafter referred to as SM), has decided to quit trainee life and leave the company.
2009-liner Na Haeun is well-known as a kid dancer and content creator. She gained fame as a dance prodigy, appearing on various local TV shows from a young age and running the YouTube channel "Awesome Haeun," which has over 5 million subscribers. In 2017, 2018, and 2019, she performed at the Melon Music Awards (MMA). Previously, she went viral ffor her performance of Red Velvet's "Peek-a-Boo" during the 2017 MMAs.
In 2022, it was announced she had signed an exclusive contract with SM Entertainment and was preparing to debut in their upcoming girl group. As the possibility of Na Haeun joining an SM Entertainment girl group increased, K-pop fans expressed their excitement for her official idol debut. Expectations were particularly high as SM Entertainment planned to debut a new girl group in the second half of this year, heightening anticipation for Na Haeun's debut.
However, after two years of trainee life, Na Haeun has left SM Entertainment. As a result, she will not be debuting in the new SM Entertainment girl group following aespa.
Meanwhile, Na Haeun is set to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the Doosan Bears vs. Kiwoom Heroes baseball game on July 3. She is currently 15 years old internationally.
Prior to her training in SM Entertainment, Na Haeun had several public appearances. The young dancer was featured in Block B's "Shall We Dance" music video, and was one of the back-up dancers in Red Velvet's "'Zimzalabim' Mass Performance | ZIP.CODE : SEOUL." She has worked with several K-pop groups, such PENTAGON, ONEUS, and ENOi.
On January 26, 2018, Na Haeun made her solo debut with the single album "So Special." She was only nine years old. Now that she has left SM Entertainment, it is unknown if she will sign with a new agency and debut in a girl group in the future.
