Through a TikTok video, a popular influencer squashed the long-running rumor Rain has a bad breath after saying THIS.
Since around 2004, the K-pop legend Rain has been followed by a shameful rumor that he stinks and his foul breath is serious.
For two decades, this has been an ongoing joke among K-pop stans, but this rumor was also often used against the icon.
The origin of this wide-spreading rumor is hard to be determined, but according to older fans, this began 20 years ago in Korean fora, but it got messier when the alleged post of Sechs Kies Kang Sung Hoon circulated where he wrote:
"Rain, that b*stard had stinking breath! He was famous among singers. Everyone who used the mic after that b*stard fainted. How terrible it must have been."
Although it wasn't verified if the post was really written by Kang, this information didn't only become known among K-pop enthusiasts but even haters who were jealous of the idol for marrying "Nation's First Love" Kim Tae Hee were spreading them like it is a fact.

On August 6, a popular internet celebrity and TikTok beauty influencer, Amy Flamy, took to the video-sharing platform to address this issue.
It was because earlier, she posted a dance challenge video of Megan Thee Stallion's "Mamushi (feat. Yuki Chiba" with Rain, whose views exceeded 6M. .
In the comments, many fans of the two were excited and shocked by the surprising tandem, but it is noticeable how some netters randomly asked Amy about Rain's real smell.
Due to this, she made another video containing the TRUTH about this rumor and said:
"Oh my gosh! Are you guys being for real right now? Guys, he's a 'god of K-pop.' Do you really think that his hygiene is not going to be good? Like, guys, think. I don't understand where this rumor started from, but I am here to end it, officially."
She then narrated their meeting, saying:
"First of all, when Rain walks in, he literally smells like a royal, like a prince [...] Throughout my life, I have my fair share of celebrities and I think Rain is one of the celebrities that I think smells 'DIVINE.'
And I kid you not, when he first walked in, I was like really stunned. He was the only celebrity that I was taken aback because of his aura. He has this shining aura behind him."
Amy then hinted at her collab ASMR talk show with the K-pop legend and described his breath as "minty fresh all the time."
Rather, the content creator joked that she was the one who was more conscious of smelling bad next to him despite being a self-proclaimed "Cleanliness Queen."
At the end of the video, she once again clarified:
"Rain does not stink at all. He doesn't and he probably smells better than half of the population of the Earth."
