Kim Je Deok, a South Korean archery athlete, has received mixed reactions after he was caught following THIS female idol. Why is it a big deal?
Amid the honor he brought to South Korea for winning the gold medal in the men's archery team event at the 2024 Paris Olympics, opinions about Kim were divided after he was caught following and liking bikini photos of QWER Chodan.
In the K-pop scene, athletes supporting idols are usually met with favorable responses, and their interactions are greeted with positive comments.
But this time, K-netizens and K-pop stans are raising their brows due to the negative reputation of Chodan. In particular, the rookie debuted as a member of the girl group QWER in October last year.
Since then, they have established their name with popular songs such as "Discord" and "T.B.H."YouTuber Kim Gyeran and the members who created the quartet were already familiar faces since Hina is a popular TikToker, while Siyeon came from the J-pop girl group NMB48. Magenta and Chodan are also active as female cam B.J.s on Twitch.
It is known that the main source of income for B.J.s is sponsorship. When viewers send sponsorship money, B.J. extends their gratitude by performing sexy dances, etc.
Some female cam B.J.s also purposely increase their exposure level to receive more sponsorship money. When female netizens found out about the other job of Chodan, she was heavily criticized, although they already lowered the level of her broadcast since her debut in a girl group.
Also, she was recently caught under fire for her "anti-feminist" remark, calling them "crazy b*tches."
As a result, Olympic gold medalist Kim Je Deok left netters angry at him, especially after learning that he even liked Chodan's photo wearing a cropped short-sleeved shirt and white bikini panties.

Meanwhile, Kim Je Deok won his third Olympic gold medal with Kim Woo Jin and Lee Woo Seok in the men's team archery event at the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 30, defeating France 5-1. In the individual event held on August 4, he was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
