SM Entertainment has updated Renjun's health condition and future activities. The agency imparted the idol's limited participation due to his health condition and how it would affect NCT DREAM's upcoming world tour in North America.
On August 9, SM Entertainment uploaded a statement detailing Renjun's health status and activities. The agency shared that the idol has received enough rest and is currently focusing on recovery, thus resulting in an improved state.
S.M. then shared that Renjun was able to join NCT DREAM's production for the U.S. single "Rains in Heaven." The single is slated for release on August 23, and Renjun will be present in the content.However, Renjun's participation would also be limited according to the advice of medical professionals.
The agency shared that Renjun will not be able to join NCT DREAM in its upcoming "THE DREAM SHOW 3: DREAM()SCAPE" in the U.S.S.M. added that the idol's participation will depend on his recovery progress and that he will update his status at a separate time. The agency wrapped its statement by thanking the fans who supported Renjun and assured them it would do its best to help the idol return to NCTzens.

Renjun, who has halted his activities due to health reasons, took a well-deserved rest and focused on his recovery. His condition is improving significantly.
As a result, Renjun participated in the production of NCT DREAM's U.S. single 'Rains in Heaven,' which will be released on August 23 and he will be present in other related content.
However, according to medical staff, it is still too early for him to join long-term performances and schedules. Renjun decided not to participate in the performance of 'THE DREAM SHOW 3: DREAM( )SCAPE' in America.

On April 13, SM Entertainment canceled Renjun's activities due to health concerns, hindering him from attending NCT DREAM's NHK "Venue 101" in Japan and fan-meeting in Weidian, China. SM continued that the idol planned to recover his health.
This was subsequently followed by another statement on April 20, when SM updated that Renjun has been experiencing a "worsening" of his physical health and anxiety symptoms. Renjun had also visited a hospital at that time and was advised to take a break.
