The situation also included NCT members unfollowing Taeil on their personal Instagram accounts, which was also accompanied by dozens of fans immediately condemning the idol in their words and gestures.

However, another controversial matter also coincided with Taeil's case.

On social media platform X (Twitter), users began to speculate if Taeil was involved in the ongoing "Nth Room" case, which became national news in South Korea.

"Nth Room" is the infamous term for an illegal chat room, where certain individuals gather to share highly exploitative and explicit content involving women or underage girls. The chat rooms are also notorious for involving violence, abuse, blackmail, and many other heinous acts.

On the other hand, some netizens mentioned a rumor alleging that Taeil's case may just have been the start and that over 200 idols might also be involved in the illegal "Nth Room." However, some disagreed with the spread of speculations.

In other news, KBS shared that the Bangpae Police Station confirmed that Taeil was booked for "unspecified sexual crimes" in June and has been under investigation since then. The authorities also followed up that the victim is an adult woman.
