On August 29, the "4th-gen representative" girl group held a comeback showcase in Seoul, ahead of the release of their fourth mini-album "Crazy" this Friday.

During the interview with the Korean press, LE SSERAFIM also took the chance to shed light on the controversies surrounding the team and the members.

Starting with Eunchae, the youngest member was previously attacked online by university students after she allegedly mocked them.

For context, in one of the group's live broadcasts in March last year, the member was criticized for her "condescending" remark of trying to empathize with students' hardship and their feeling of needing to go to school at 7 a.m.

This didn't sit well with Korean students as they felt ridiculed and belittled, especially with the fact that Eunchae doesn't attend school and implied that she didn't undergo the same difficulties as them.

Regarding this, Eunchae made a public apology and said:

"At the time, I think I thought about it comfortably, without knowing it, because it was a place to communicate with fans.

I should have been aware that the closer you are, the more careful you have to be, but I didn't think about this deeply.

I apologize for disappointing you with my immature behavior. I promise to show myself as a more responsible person with a careful heart."

As the showcase continued, the huge issue of their "poor" live singing skills at the Coachella 2024 was also brought up by Korean journalists.

At the time, their stage was dubbed as the "worst" among K-pop girl groups who graced the stage, especially due to their unstable vocals.

Kim Chaewon, one of the group's vocalists confessed her regrets and acknowledged their lack of skills, saying:

"There were many regrettable parts about our Coachella stage, but it was a time when the team and the members learned and realized a lot.

Since it was our first time performing at a big outdoor festival, we got excited without realizing it and couldn't control our pace, so I think we were lacking in that area."

However, she attested to fans that the group will use the criticism as motivation to improve themselves.

"We realized that we still have a long way to learn more and gain experience, and we think that it's our lifelong task to show an even better side of ourselves in the future. The members also talked about showing a better side of ourselves."

"Based on this experience, we want to show our gradual growth. I think 'Crazy' is the first step toward that. We will work hard to show our fans who support us a better stage and music. Please watch over our growth."
