SM Entertainment shared its stance against social media users who made malicious remarks against RIIZE and defaming comments on former member Seunghan.
On October 17, SM disclosed that the company would be taking legal action about the rights infringement of RIIZE members. According to the statement, the agency has been collecting posts with malicious nature and intent through its monitoring and reports from BRIIZEs.
The lawsuit filing will also target domestic and international netizens who spread false news about the group on various platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, and many more.
SM continued that the accounts impersonating the RIIZE members' acquaintances were confirmed, identified, and are now forwarded for prosecution.
Furthermore, SM expressed its gratitude to BRIIZEs for their support for RIIZE.
It also encouraged fans to report any more illegal actions online that are related to the boy group.
In a separate statement, SM also addressed the defaming remarks against former RIIZE member Seunghan. The agency stated that it has also been monitoring misinformation, slander, and attacks on Seunghan's character.
Seunghan was supposed to return to RIIZE, per the agency on October 11. However, the decision was retracted two days later.
Seunghan permanently left RIIZE on October 13.
