BIGBANG members had everyone thrilled with their newest group content, where they shared which junior K-pop groups have caught their attention.
On November 5, "ZIP DAESUNG" released its 29th episode featuring BIGBANG members Daesung, Taeyang, and G-Dragon. The episode showcased the trio chatting with each other over a meal and a couple of drinks. V.I.Ps were more than happy to see the reunion.
At the video's 13:55 mark, they were asked if any junior artists in the K-pop industry had piqued their interest. "Are there any juniors that BIGBANG is keeping an eye on?" the show director asked.
Daesung immediately answered, "Juniors? In my case, there are MEOVV and BABYMONSTER."
Upon hearing Daesung's reply, G-Dragon took this chance to jokingly say, "Blood is thicker than water," since MEOVV debuted under Teddy's agency THEBLACKLABEL and BABYMONSTER from YG Entertainment.
Daesung also added that aespa was a promising junior group.
He asked, "Which idols are you keeping an eye on, Taeyang?"
Taeyang responded that although the group he had in mind was not a rookie act, the group still left a lasting impression on him. He revealed that the group was SEVENTEEN.
"I think it was SEVENTEEN's debut stage. We saw their rehearsal and I said, 'This group will definitely succeed.' I don't even remember the song and all that, but the energy they showed on stage, that's very important and I felt that."
