The 2024 MelOn Music Awards has finally announced the winners of its Top 10 Artists, but fans were frustrated with the award show excluding Taeyeon despite being a strong candidate.
On November 15, the 2024 MelOn Music Awards unveiled the Top 10 winners, which were derived from its voting results that ran from October 31 to November 15. The artists included in the list were determined by download and streaming (80 percent) and votes from users (20 percent).
According to the results, the winners were K-pop acts aespa, DAY6, (G)I-DLE, IU, BTS Jungkook, NewJeans, PLAVE, RIIZE, SEVENTEEN, and TWS. However, the list eventually raised brows among fans of Taeyeon.
On November 14, netizens gathered in an online thread, titled, "Singers Confirmed to Win Melon Music Awards' Top 10."

- "Taeyeon has many successful releases and her physical sales are good. Why are they always removing her all the time?"
