They may have been incomplete at SMTOWN Live 2025, but Suho and Chanyeol proved EXO's status as K-pop royalty even with only the two of them onstage.

On January 11, as SM Entertainment marked its 30th anniversary with a two-day concert in Seoul, the "K-pop Kings" made a reboot of the hit classic "Get It Up!" by H.O.T. — and they instantly received a deluge of praise online for their performance.

On Instiz and theqoo, netizens lauded the duo for their live vocals.

"As expected, EXO is live singing. That's right. That's right. This is it," a fan said.

"Even though there are only two of them, they fill it up really well," a Korean netizen echoed.

"I lost interest in idols when EXO was around, so this is my first time seeing them on stage. But how can they be so good? They're so damn good," complimented a spectator.

Praises for Suho and Chanyeol's visuals also flooded the sites as they performed their solo tracks, "1 to 3" and "Hasta La Vista."

"If you like band music, I recommend you to listen to Suho's album once. The songs are good. I wish he'll keep on doing band music," a K-netizen raved.

One commenter chimed in, "Oh, Band live. This is what a concert should be like."

Meanwhile, one fan said they couldn't keep their eyes off the EXO leader. "Suho is really handsome. I couldn't focus on his dancing because I'm looking at his face."

As always, Chanyeol basked in a plethora of compliments for his voice and looks.

"He's good. He's also singing live. His face is handsome too," gushed a fan.

"This is my first time hearing Chanyeol's song and it's better than I thought," another netizen marveled. "He also sings well."

Only Suho and Chanyeol participated in the SMTOWN Live 2025 out of the current nine EXO members, although Lay was able to attend to watch the concert.

The Mando-pop star was spotted singing along with the two while performing "The First Snow," and even took a snapshot with them after their performance.

Sehun and Kai are currently serving the military, while Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin (collectively known as the sub-unit CBX) have left SM Entertainment in 2023 and are now signed under INB100, a label founded by Baekhyun in the same year.

EXO is expected to finally make its full-group comeback this 2025, as hinted by Suho during the anniversary concert.

EXO-Ls/Eris (EXO's fans) also anticipate Lay to take part in this return following his participation in EXO's 7th EP and special album "Don't Fight the Feeling" in 2021.
