AKMU's Lee Chanhyuk and fromis_9's Saerom Have Broken Up, Fan Reactions Pour In Online

Reports of fromis_9 member Lee Saerom and AKMU's Lee Chanhyuk having ended their rumored relationship have spread on social media.

Korean news outlet Xportsnews released an exclusive report disclosing that Saerom and Chanhyuk have broken up, per entertainment industry insiders. The two went their separate ways in 2024 after one year of dating.

The dating rumors were first made public in October 2022, when an internet user revealed that Saerom and Chanhyuk were spotted attending a workshop date. At the workshop managed by an acquaintance, the rumored couple allegedly purchased an art piece.

Additionally, the two were spotted doing "lovestagram," wherein they upload photos on Instagram with similar locations. Saerom and Chanhyuk were also seen in matching couple rings.

At the time, Chanhyuk's agency, YG Entertainment, responded to the rumors by saying, "It is difficult to confirm as it is the artist's private life."

PLEDIS Entertainment, however, remained silent on the matter.

With YG's denial and PLEDIS' unresponsiveness, the actions were eventually considered signs of indirect confirmation of the relationship.

On X (formerly Twitter), fans had divisive reactions to the "breakup" news. Some netizens argued that Saerom and Chanhyuk never dated in the first place, as the claims were started by notorious YouTuber Sojang.

Others poked fun at the update on the two's rumored relationship.
