There is no specific Kingdom Hearts 3 Xbox One, PS4 release date announced yet but in an interview with Los Angeles Times, the game director, Tetsuya Nomura, shared some details about the upcoming game.

When asked about how he know he was ready for the Kingdom Hearts 3, he answered, "First and most important, is the determination in my mind. That will launch the project. It's difficult to explain what kind of determination I am talking about."

Nomura also noted how the expectations of the fans of the franchise' go up each time a sequel is released and for the Kingdom Hearts 3, he described that it is extremely high. He shared, "To respond to those expectations, I have to provide something really good. Technology is really important, as is the [Disney] world."

Even without Kingdom Hearts 3 Xbox One, PS4 release date yet, fans seem to be keyed up already with the upcoming game, which apparently is the third and final core title of the franchise, aside from the spin-off versions made for Kingdom Hearts to keep help the brand alive.

According to Nomura, the story for Kingdom Hearts 3 Xbox One, PS4 versions will be set after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Nomura shared that he is using the "hand-held title's combat functionality as an early guide for "Kingdom Hearts 3." The 3DS title was released last year.

There were rumors claiming that Kingdom Hearts 3 Xbox One, PS4 release date is going to be set for Spring 2014. However, Square Enix Origin strongly refuted this claim.

Since the game is still in its early production now, there is no way that Spring 2014 will be Kingdom Hearts 3 Xbox One, PS4 release date. The post on the site said, "There is absolutely no way Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released in 2014 due to the fact that it is in extremely early stages of development."

Furthermore, Tetsuya Nomura is "taking the time to promote the new Final Fantasy XV, a game he wanted to create for the longest time." This is another strong reason why Kingdom Hearts 3 Xbox One, PS4 release date will not be in 2014.
