As "American Horror Story" season 3 begins filming in New Orleans, actor Denis O'Hare has been announced to return to the cast in a season that is very lacking with male characters.

This season, "Coven," will see O'Hare joined by fellow "American Horror Story" alumnus Sarah Paulson, Taissa Farmiga, Jessica Lange, Francis Conroy, Lily Rabe, and Evan Peters. In addition, newcomers Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, Patti LuPone, and Kathy Bates will make the "Coven" cast.

It is unclear if Denis O'Hare is in New Orleans now filming for "American Horror Story" season 3, but if this is a recent addition, his role may be less prominent than his last appearance in season 1.

But one thing is certain, that filming for "American Horror Story" season 3 is officially underway, with the first set photos coming in showing young actors Taissa Farmiga, Evan Peters, and Emma Roberts seemingly enjoying their time on set.

After the recent domestic violence drama, it seems Evan Peters and Emma Roberts have made up, as shown by their holding hands.

Sarah Paulson also recently talked about her time in New Orleans in an interview.

"I can tell you I'm here in New Orleans. I am reading a book about witchcraft in my personal life," says Paulson.

"I tend to read it in the day because who wants to be the one reading a book about witchcraft at midnight in New Orleans? That's just asking for some spooky shit I don't need in my life."
