Secret US Classic 2013 Results [VIDEOS]: McKayla Maroney Dazzles On Floor And Vault, Kyla Ross Wins All-Around Gold

As the Secret US Classic 2013 drew to a close, junior and senior gymnasts rose to the occasion, with Olympic gold medalists McKayla Maroney and Kyla Ross appearing in their biggest gymnastics competition since the 2012 Summer Olympics.

For McKayla Maroney, this is the first competition the powerhouse gymnast is competing in since the Olympics, and she didn't disappoint with the results.

After recovering from a fractured tibia and subsequent surgery, Maroney competed in floor and vault, displaying her iconic Amanar vault with flare despite stepping out-of-bounds.

On floor, McKayla Maroney showcased a new double layout tumbling pass and a brand new routine with the same confidence that we know and all. McKayla should definitely be impressed with the results here!

Her Olympics teammate Kyla Ross competed in all four events at the Secret US Classic, and despite a few uncharacteristic errors, still managed to win the all-around title over Payton Ernst and Brenna Dowell.

As usual, Kyla Ross shined most on uneven bars, earning the highest score on that event with a 15.4.

But she was unusually wobbly on beam and floor, taking a fall on a double pike on the latter. Like most of her teammates, Kyla Ross needs to continue upgrading her routines in order to compete at Nationals and Worlds this year. But the results were good enough to give her the all-around title.

Overall, it was a solid competition at the Secret US Classic 2013 with promising rising stars, and a few young veterans in the form of Kyla Ross and McKayla Maroney.

In addition, Olympic champion Gabby Douglas attended the Secret US Classic to support her teammates, and seeing gymnasts like Kyla and McKayla probably helped her motivation with training.
