Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Release Date Around October: Nexus 10 To Bring Google’s Highly Anticipated OS?

Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie release date is set for October, as it will arrive with a new version of Samsung-built Nexus 10.

Following the highly-anticipated Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which was recently unveiled, the rumor mill is now in high gear for the upcoming iteration of Google's mobile operating system unofficially dubbed as Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

After Sundar Pichai, the head of Android and Chrome for Google, released the new Nexus 7 tablet confirming that it is running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, a new talk of the town has been surfacing. Currently, fans and enthusiasts can't keep their minds off Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie release date, which allegedly is coming very soon.

A UK site, Phones Review stated that Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie release date is "surely on the horizon" as the firmware may arrive as early as September or October. With Pichai already talking about the upcoming Nexus 10, a lot of experts have started to deduce that Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie may have high chances of arriving together with the said device. Accordingly, Nexus 10 will arrive in October and it may run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie out of the box.

Aside from the Nexus 10, the upcoming LG-manufactured Nexus 5 is also rumored to launch with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and then other smartphones will get it thereafter.

Furthermore, it was already announced that HTC One Google Edition will be getting the Android 4.3 soon but the post from Phones Review suggested to just skip that and release Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie around September or October.

There are also claims saying that Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie release date will be in 2014, but some experts are sticking by a 2013 launch.
