Pokemon 3DS Game Release Spotlight [TRAILER]: Tretta Lab To Support Pokemon Movie With Tie-In Tiles

With so much Pokemon activity occurring this summer, a new 3DS game is being released prior to the highly anticipated Pokemon X and Y, called Pokemon Tretta Lab.

As shown in a new trailer Japanese release trailer, Pokemon Tretta Lab is modeled after the popular arcade game, where players engage in Pokemon battles using collectible tiles.

For the 3DS release, Pokemon Tretta Lab will come with a scanner, and three tiles for Mewtwo, Eevee, and Lucario to coincide with the summer Pokemon movie, "ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens" as well as its short, "Pikachu and Eevee Friends."

According to AnimeNewsNetwork, Pokemon Tretta Lab has three modes. The Tretta Analyzer displays a Pokemon's stats using the tile, the Type Checker allows gamers to check other Pokemon of the same type, and Auto Battle goes to a 3DS battle between two different Tretta tiles.

Purchasing the Pokemon Tretta Lab for Nintendo 3DS upon release will get you a scanner and two trays for the 3DS and its XL model.

Pokemon fans will be able to purchase Pokemon Tretta Lab in Japan on August 10 for 3,800 yen.

In the meantime, be sure to check "ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens" to get you hyped up for Pokemon X and Y this October.
