Xbox One Release Date And Price: Microsoft Gets Two-Week Head Start? Xbox One Rumored To Launch November 29, Two Weeks Before Playstation 4

The Xbox One's release date is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 29 and the Playstation 4 is slated to be released Friday, Dec. 13, according to Toys R Us' UK website, giving Microsoft a two-week head start over Sony.

Sony and Microsoft have not responded to claims the next-generation consoles will be released two weeks apart.

But the official release date of the Xbox One might be revealed at the Gamescom festival in August, which is held annually in Germany. It is the expected venue for the announcement of the release date. It will run from August 21 to August 25.

The Xbox One might have a release date after November 5 once "Call of Duty: Ghosts" is released on the Xbox 360, comments made by a Future Shop Gamer representative suggests.

The spokesman posted a message on Twitter on Monday that they believed the first-person shooter would be made available before the launches of both next-generation systems, Examiner reports.

In this scenario, fans can purchase the Xbox One versions even though the hardware to play the software on won't be available, Examiner also reports.
