Justin Timberlake New Album, 'The 20/20 Experience: 2 Of 2' Sept. 27 Release Date [VIDEO]: Controversy With First Single, Who Else Will Appear On This Second Album In One Year

The Justin Timberlake new album, "The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2" release date is set for Sept. 27 by RCA Records.

This new album will mark the former N'SYNC star's second studio-album within the same year and following the success of "The 20/20 Experience: 1 of 2" that was released on March 15. "The 20/20 Experience" officially debuted atop the Billboard 200 albums chart with 968,000 copies sold in its first week, becoming Justin Timberlake's second number-one album as a solo artist.

Sales figures for the first week are the highest of Timberlake's career, surpassing his previous studio efforts with "Justified" and "FutureSex/LoveSounds," which sold 439,000 and 684,000 copies in their debut weeks respectively, so who knows if this two albums in one year will work for Justin Timberlake or not.

Singles like "Tunnel Vision" and "Suit & Tie," which featured Jay-Z and those were huge successes for him. Since then, Timberlake has released the first single on "The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2." The name of the track is "Take Back the Night," which actually caused some controversy since its release in mid-July.

The term Take Back the Night was already trademarked by a group that is a sexual assault awareness foundation that works mostly with women. When Timberlake found out about it, he addressed the possible issue and lawsuit.

"Upon the release of my new single 'Take Back The Night,' I was made aware of an organization of the same name called The Take Back The Night Foundation. I wanted to take this opportunity to let all know that neither my song nor its lyrics have any association with the organization. As I've learned more about The Take Back The Night Foundation, I'm moved by its efforts to stop violence against women, create safe communities and encourage respectful relationships for women - something we all should rally around. It is my hope that this coincidence will bring more awareness to this cause," Justin Timberlake addresses Take Back the Night controversy to Radar in a statement.

There was no lawsuit filed.

As far as the other tracks on the album, not one name has been rumored or confirmed to appear on the new album. Record Producer Quest Love announced that the album will feature 10 new tracks, adding both albums up to 20, which is where the title for the albums came from. He also said that there will be outtakes from the first album on the new one.

Timberlake will tour the world, promoting both albums, which begins on Oct. 31. "The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2" was made available for pre-order on the iTunes Store on July 12.
