Install Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update to LG-Built Nexus 4: Users Report Overheating, Slower Performance After Upgrading To Google’s Latest Mobile OS

Google Nexus 4 owners can now install official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to their devices.

Last week, Google started rolling out official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware for the Nexus devices, more particularly to the LG-manufactured Nexus 4. However, some of the users are now reporting issues after upgrading to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Overheating and slower performance - these are just two of the complaints made be users  of Google Nexus 4 who decided to upgrade to the latest mobile OS, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Apparently, there were some problems that manifested after Nexus 4 got the update.

Actually, Google Nexus 4 was already experiencing minor issues prior to getting the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update over-the-air (OTA), but things have become even more serious afterwards.

For instance, readers of Phones Review, as cited by Mobile & Apps shared the problems they encountered with their Nexus 4 after upgrading to the latest Android firmware.

On a post about Android 4.3 having some issues on the Nexus 4, a reader using the name 'pwarc' commented, "After 4.3 upgrade, my nexus 4 dies a few times a day. I have to hold the power button to reboot it. After finding the problem, I reset the phone and reinstalled everything. But the problems are still there. OS problem?"

Reportedly, after installing official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the panoramic modes and photosphere became considerably slower. Geo-tagging photos also have some problems. However, Phones Review noted that it is still unclear whether the concerns are actually originating from some bug in the OS update.

Other upgrade problems reported include decreased performance especially with gaming. Furthermore, Nexus  4 owners who updated their devices to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean also noticed overheating, which seems to be far from the usual scenario when the phone heats up a little when playing games .

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update was supposed to bring new features and enhancements to Nexus 4 and to other members of Nexus family. But apparently, it seems that in some cases, it has also brought some issues to the device.

If these issues are really caused by the newest Google OS, the internet giant will definitely release a fix to these bugs soon so make sure to keep yourself updated about Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware.
