YG 2NE1’S ‘Do You Love Me’ Music Video – ‘Inexpensive Concept’

YG Entertainment revealed that 2NE1's new music video for 'Do You Love Me' was based on 'a not expensive concept.'

The rep said, 'The music video was shot using a 60's style home video. This is a new look for the always contemporary 2NE1 because in this video they appear to not have put much thought into their look.'

2NE1 released their song on August 8, and uploaded the music video to their own website and their Youtube channel the next day. 'Do You Love Me' rose to the number 1 spot on the live music charts in the same day it was released.

Until now 2NE1 has poured a lot of money and effort into producing and filming their music videos, which were always polished and of very high quality. As leading fashionistas, 2NE1 is currently holding the top spot, along with Girls' Generation, on Youtube.

However, the 'Do You Love Me' music video has an opposite feel to it. It was filmed by the members themselves, using an old camera to give it that retro feel. It's a new side to 2NE1 and the fans love it. This seemingly careless and inexpensive style shows the members' mischievous and silly sides, and brings a fresh new twist to the always polished 2NE1.
