Korean media outlet Dispatch has a rather nasty habit of digging up dirt on some of the countries biggest stars and leaving waves on controversy in their wake.

The latest scandal they have stirred up revolves around JYJ singer Yoochun and a picture of him smoking a cigarette.

Dispatch caught up with the pop star as he enjoyed a few late summer night drinks (and cigarettes) with a small group of friends.

While that news alone does not seem like enough to get rumors flying, it was quickly pointed out that Yoochun was declared unfit to fulfill his mandatory military service as an active duty soldier due to his asthma-related problems.

Instead, the JYJ member was able to complete his service as a public worker.

The pictures hit the Dispatch website on Monday and were instantly met with mixed feelings from fans and netizens.

Comments ranged from the outraged, "Since you are smoking your asthma must be all better and you can serve your active duty now," to the disappointed, "What about all the fans you told you had quit smoking?" to the supportive, "I don't see what the big deal is."
