Katy Perry Roar [Official Video]; Filipino Lauds Brief Appearance Of Their 'Taal Volcano'

Katy Perry posted the official video of her latest single "Roar" both on her website and thru her YouTube Channel last September 5.

"Roar" is directed by Grady Hall and Mark Kudsi and produced by Javier Jimenez, Danny Lockwood, Patrick Nugent, Oualid Mouaness and Derek Johnson.

The music video has vivid visuals captured well and exhibited thru its stunning cinematography. The "Roar" music video takes place in the jungle.

The song is already No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the week it was released. It recently reached the top of the UK Pop charts as of writing this report.

Aside from the global praise the official music video of "Roar" is receiving, it is highly lauded in the Philippines as it appears to be that one of their famous tourist destinations and landmarks (the Taal Volcano) was briefly featured as being overlooked by the Pop Star.

The Department of Tourism of the Philippines was asked for their feedback and reaction regarding the said video. Department of Tourism Secretary, Ramon Jimenez, said that he was "very happy" about Taal Volcano's cameo on the music video. They however, denied any participation or prior knowledge that the scenic Taal Volcano will be used as a panoramic background by the songstress on her latest video. He also added ""It's no secret that when Katy Perry came to Philippines, she fell in love with our country. I wouldn't be surprised if she made the choice (herself). But I do not know that for a fact."
