Microsoft Surface 2 Launch Date: Sept. 23 Is Official Release Date Of New Tablet, Specs Are 8GB Of Ram And Will Feat Windows 8.1

Microsoft Surface 2 launch date just as with any tech product release nowadays has been met with a wide variety of rumors and speculations on what specs it will have. Phonesreview.co.uk has announced that the Microsoft Surface 2 launch date has finally been made public for all those who are interested so all the speculation on the date can end.

After the launch of the first two Microsoft tablet PCs, there were no extraordinary applauses from both reviewers and consumers. Their sales barely crossed breakeven. As the launching of the Microsoft Surface 2 approaches, Microsoft has already extended a warm invite for both reviewers and future owners to make their way to the event on the 23rd of September.

According to Phonesreview.co.uk, the company will be holding the press event in New York City. The event set to begin at 1030am New York time might very well mark the end of the Microsoft Surface Pro as well as the Surface RT that did not do well with consumers. They both ran on a version of Windows 8 that had been stripped down to reduce spec requirements.

Phonesreview.Co.UK stated that the biggest speculations point to a total overhaul in hardware to put in more powerful processers backed by 8GB of RAM. It is expected to run the new Windows 8.1. Other speculations include Full HD display designed to look pretty much like the 2 predecessors.

With all this said and done, Phonesreview.co.uk continues on to state that Microsoft is counting on the Microsoft Surface 2 to help make up for the loss dealt from the unsold Surface RT.
