Google Chromebook 2013: Asus And Toshiba Releases Own Chromebook Versions, Join Samsung, Acer, HP And Lenovo

Looking for a Google Chromebook 2013 for the past few months has been slightly difficult because of the lack of options. Fortunately, PC manufacturers Asus and Toshiba have already joined the bandwagon.

Just recently, Google announced that the two world-renowned computer manufacturers have adapted its Chrome OS in their respective devices. Asus has reportedly launched its Chromebox, while Toshiba has developed a Chromebook, run by Google's very own operating system.

This may be too early to say, but Chrome OS's adaptation of six of the world's top PC manufacturers is proof that this platform aims for greater heights, especially when Windows 8 has not yet gained the approval of majority of its users. However, Microsoft expects the 8.1 update will turn the tables once again in their favor.

GSM Arena also reported that these computers run by Chrome OS are now powered by the latest Intel Haswell CPUs, packing both performance and battery efficiency.

As of the moment, there are no updates yet regarding pricing for the upcoming Chromebook laptops from the said companies. Meanwhile, the white edition of HP's Chromebook14 is available at $299.99. It features 16GB SSD storage, and free 100GB of storage from Google Drive for 2 years.
